Australia is an AMAZING country with AMAZING people and with everything that is going on in the world at the moment it has really made me re-evaluate what is import to me, my family, my community and my country.
With so many people losing their income whether it is short or long term, we really need to come together and support the Australian business that are still managing to keep their doors open and bring in an income.
There are several ways that this can be achieved even if your income has been severely affected. I have been thinking outside the box and here are some of my suggestions
Rather than using the large supermarket chains, have a look in your local area for small independent grocery shops that offer delivery in your area. A great example for the Brisbane region is Charliesfruitonline.com.au.
We are all going to be home a lot more so now is a good time to stock up on games and activities to do at home. There are so many Australian businesses that offer this so try and stay away from the big chain stores and support a small business.
Also, don't forget your loved ones that have birthdays during this time. Order them a gift online and get it delivered straight to them to show you are still thinking of them even if you can't be with them. Below is a list of just a few wonderful businesses to support
Biome - Australia's original ethical eco store
Adventure snack - Helping make packing school lunchboxes and mealtimes fun
School Stuff - Everything for school
The Boundary Gate - Homewares, gifts, lifestyle, books and more - Website live soon
Chilada- Children's Boutique
Kiddie Co - Making life with kids a little easier
Bulla Baby - One-Stop shop for quirky, unique products for babies and kids
Baby Bento - Making mealtime fun
The Bento Buzz - The largest range of Bento Lunch Boxes in Australia
Little Leisure - Baby and children's clothing
Oz Baby Bargain - Specialises in baby products
UpCycle studio - The best in sustainable lifestyle products, eco & natural homewares, zero waste and reusable products, unique gifts and upcycle range
Shade Swim - Sun Safe, Australian made Swimwear
At the moment many of your local restaurants and cafes are still open for takeaway food. Make the most of still being able to get out of the house and walk down to get some takeaway food and coffee and enjoy it in your garden.
