Which Bento is best for sandwiches?

The Bento 2 and the Classic Bento 3 are our top picks, thanks to their large main compartments.

The Bento 5 can also fit a sandwich – choose a smaller traditional-style loaf, or cut the sandwich into pieces and stack them.

Which Bento is best for lots of variety?

The Bento 5. Its five separate compartments make it easy to pack a mix of main, fruit, veggies, snacks and treats in one box.

What size are the Bento Lunch Boxes?

Are Bento Lunch Boxes leak-proof?

The Bento 2 and Bento 5 have a removable silicone seal that keeps thicker foods like yoghurt and dips in when the lid is fully closed. The Classic Bento 3 and Classic Stacker are leak-resistant. For thin liquids, use a Snack Pot.

Can I pack yoghurt and dips?

Yes. The silicone seal in the Bento 2 and Bento 5 helps contain thicker foods like yoghurt and dips when the seal is fitted correctly and the lid is fully closed.

Place thin sauces (such as soy sauce) and oily dressings in the small snack pot container.

Can I pack salad dressing, soy sauce or other liquids?

Pack thin liquids like dressing, oil or soy sauce in a Stainless Steel Snack Pot, then pop it inside your Bento.

Can I pack hot food in a Bento Lunch Box?

Our Bento Lunch Boxes aren't insulated and are designed for cold or room-temperature food. If you pack warm food, let it stop steaming before closing the lid. For a hot lunch, use the Insulated Food Jar.

Are Bento Lunch Boxes dishwasher safe?

Yes. The Bento 2, Bento 5, Classic Bento 3 and Classic Stacker are all dishwasher safe. Remove the silicone seal so water reaches every surface, and let all parts dry completely.

Can Bento Lunch Boxes go in the microwave?

No. The Bento boxes are not microwave-safe.

How do I clean the silicone seal?

Remove the seal regularly and wash it with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid sharp objects, scourers and harsh chemicals. Let the seal and lid dry completely before refitting.

Why is my Bento leaking?

Check the seal is clean, dry, the right way round and pressed evenly into its channel. Wipe food off the rim, avoid overfilling and make sure the latch closes fully. Still leaking? Contact us with photos and a short video.

Will the Bento 5 fit inside the Insulated Lunch Bag?
